New Industrial Web Design Positions Peak Access for Growth
Case Study
CHALLENGE: Inadequate Web Presence
As a company, Peak Access already had a stellar reputation for safe and efficient industrial rope access services in a variety of challenging environments.
However, Ian Watson, the Director of Peak Access, knew that their current website was not representing them well, and so he was looking for help to enhance the company’s online presence and develop their marketing strategy.
“We needed to revamp our website. I wanted something that looked professional and industrial but was still user-friendly and informative.”
— Ian Watson, Director
For this task, Peak Access needed a marketing partner not only with technical skill but with strategic guidance that could help them represent their brand more effectively in the marketplace.
Watson and his Operations Manager, Ryan Casey, were not interested in bringing on a big flashy marketing agency. They wanted a marketing partner who understood them.
“I make my decisions on who I work with based on the people as much as anything,” Watson explained. “So, when I met Jason and his team at Pohl Strategic, I just had the sense that our company culture matched with theirs. It immediately felt like it could be a win-win situation.”
SOLUTION: Fully Upgraded Website
After an initial assessment of Peak Access’s brand identity and their current position in the marketplace, the team at Pohl Strategic began listening carefully to both Ian and Ryan in an effort to understand their company and the goals of their marketing upgrade.
As Peak Access and Pohl Strategic began to work together, there was good communication back and forth and an ease of collaboration that matched Ian’s expectation. “I feel like Jason and the team took what I was saying and ran with it really well,” Ian reflected afterward. “I got that impression right from the start, so it made it easy for me to work with them.”
Industrial Web Design Package
In order to deliver a fully upgraded website, the team at Pohl Strategic had to provide an array of industrial web design services, including new written content, new digital assets in photography and video, as well as initial onsite keyword and search engine optimization.
Four new case studies were written for the website, highlighting the specialized services that Peak Access had provided for valued clients. These case studies were crafted in a way to help future clients identify themselves as recipients of the same services.
A photo-video shoot was scheduled and arranged with Peak Access at an active job site where rope access technicians could be captured in their element. Watson was very pleased not only with the quality of the new digital assets but also with the professional manner of the shoot itself.
“I had prepared a detailed schedule and shot list,” said Watson, “and on that day Sarah and Sam just listened to me and ran with it. They did an excellent job of focusing on getting the shots and following the schedule. I was really impressed. They were thrown into it, but they handled themselves well.”
Though the project timeline experienced some minor delays, generally both Pohl Strategic and Peak Access felt the pace of the work was good and it moved steadily to completion. According to Watson, the responsiveness from Pohl Strategic was always there.
OUTCOME: Another Stoked Client
“We’re really stoked with the website,” said Watson. “The look and feel of it is great. In fact, it’s right where we wanted to land, in terms of looking more industrial, more professional, but it doesn’t have that giant corporate feel. The team at Pohl Strategic nailed it.”
As a result, Peak Access is well positioned for future growth. In terms of their overall experience with Pohl Strategic, they were not only satisfied with the services provided and with the effectiveness of the new website, but they also made special mention of the ease of collaboration and the professionalism and responsiveness that the Pohl Strategic team brought to their work.
“We needed a marketing partner who understood us,” said Watson, “and that made all the difference. In the end, all of our interactions and meetings with Pohl Strategic were positive and easygoing. They were good people to work with.”
