Warren Pilat is a successful business owner, but he knew he needed help with certain aspects of marketing. His company, Pilat’s Custom Cabinetry, was founded in 2005 and was thriving twenty years later.
Locally owned and operated in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, the company featured a small team of experts who designed, built, and installed spectacular custom cabinetry. But their website looked old and tired. It was evident that their online marketing did not match their premium products, their superior craftmanship, or their exceptional customer service. So, in 2025, Warren called Jason at Pohl Strategic Marketing.
Challenge
Pilat’s was a small company with a very qualified team of professionals, but no marketing department. When he enlisted the help of the team at Pohl Strategic, Warren was looking for simple and straightforward help with digital marketing.
Though their cabinetry business was booming, there was clear misalignment between their premium products and services and their digital presence. Warren was not willing to tolerate the dissonance any longer—they needed to show up online in a way that matched the quality of their company.
Approach
Pohl Strategic went to work and revamped Pilat’s website, simplifying the language and writing, re-structuring the content and pages, adding updated photography, and making it all more user-friendly.
Six new featured projects were written and accompanied by new photos that would help website viewers catch a glimpse of the exceptional work that Pilat’s was doing for customers throughout British Columbia.
Pohl wanted to ensure that Pilat’s was no longer being misrepresented online. “We tried to build presence,” said Jason Pohl, CEO, “with clear messaging, strategic content that aligned with their brand, and project highlights that spoke effectively to their audience. We wanted Warren’s team to show up as the experts they are.”
Beyond the website upgrade, Pohl also provided ongoing social media services. According to Jason, “We wanted to ensure that Pilat’s work would get the visibility it deserved, by highlighting their projects, services, and expertise across all the right platforms.”
Web Design
Although initially, it looked like a partial website rebuild was needed, it turned out to be much more cost effective to start over with a full rebuild, ensuring that all upgrades were integrated with better navigation and an improved user experience.
The written copy was refreshed and refined in a way that it better represented the company’s unique offering in the marketplace.
Content Marketing
Pohl developed and managed a focused social media presence for Pilat’s that reinforced their industry authority, sharpened their messaging, and supported their sales.
Impact
The result was an online experience that aligned much better with the quality of Pilat’s actual products and services. “We love the new website,” said Warren Pilat. “Finally, we’re showing up online in a way that speaks honestly about who we are and what we do.”
