Bigfoot Crane

Challenge

Pohl Strategic’s previous website build for this tower crane and underhook accessory company needed an overhaul to attain an aggressive growth strategy and incorporate new products and services. The challenge? Grow sales through the products and specialized services highlighted on the website, and provide superior accessibility for the customer by reducing click and load times.

Solution

By eliminating unnecessary categorization and highlighting top selling products, we were able to identify the navigational priorities of the website. We introduced product grouping, relying heavily on visual cues for the mega-menu navigation, which allows users to make only 1-2 clicks to reach a majority of pages on their website. Our decision to utilize a responsive grid layout on the main product pages deftly prioritizes critical information and the Call to Action.

Result

The optimized user experience allowed more website visitors to find what they were looking for, faster. This is evidenced in year-over-year lead and sales gains that enables Bigfoot to leave a considerable “footprint” (groan) in this industry, providing “legendary service” for their customers.

Marex Constructors

Challenge

When Marex Constructors asked Pohl Strategic to update integral parts of their website, they were looking for three things: a transition of the new company name and website domain name, to create a webiste with a responsive layout, and to feature current project photos and descriptions. A major overhaul was in order!

Solution

With his organizational skills leading the way, Brad efficiently provided us with photos and descriptions as soon as we started Marex’s website upgrade. We organized multiple photos for every project and made them accessible by project category and service type, providing an optimal user experience of the project gallery. We also added an employment section post launch to allow for ease of resume uploads.

Result

By adding a video background on the home page and comprehensive project portfolios, an awareness of this company’s experience, capability and professionalism has been created to draw in prospective clients. With 40+ years of experience and a solid website upgrade supporting their online presence, Marex continues to provide complex construction solutions to the Fraser Valley.

Howie’s Roofing

Challenge

Howie’s mobile-friendly roofing website was bringing in solid leads, but team growth and expanded service offerings were not being showcased. Though Howie is still the brand and face of the company, the new talent and skill set required someone to bring an overhaul and redesign to the site. Having built two previous versions of Howie’s website in the past decade, Pohl Strategic was honoured to be chosen for the new iteration.

Solution

The plan was to keep to a single-page scrolling site, built to appropriately adapt to any screen size and device including widescreen, tablet and mobile. Howie’s construction-yellow visuals were to remain, freshened up with new photos and layouts. Working collaboratively with Howie’s brother-in-law Mark, Namesake Writing was employed to bring clarity and a continued approachability to his brand.

Result

Howie’s eye-catching “from the roof” Instagram photo gallery shows current projects, and the addition of a new residential and commercial gallery demonstrates the full range of his teams’ abilities. Akismet spam filtering and a captcha to his quote submission form ensures that Howie spends less time perusing junk mail so he can get to what’s important. Because that’s “Howie do it”!
